Wow. Ya know, I’m a big Obama suporter and as horrified as the next thinking person at the thought of a McCAin/ Palin White House - but I gotta say that as an old person, who is married to a man exactly McCain’s age, I found this video painful. Jeeesus.
There are a zillion really good reasons not to vote for Mc Cain -but to vote for or against any candidate based on his/her age is just plain prejudice . It’s called ageism and EVERYONE who has the good fortune to live past 60 will experience it.

But here’s the thing: age DOES matter in an election. The going rhetoric on Obama is that “he’s too young, he’s got no experience.” Is that ageism, or a valid concern? And then there’s something else: At McCain’s age, you get tired easily and you maybe don’t make the best decisions when you’re exhausted and on top of that you’ve got a host of health issues to deal with. Do you think that puts you in a good place to handle running the most powerful (and dangerous) country in the world? There’s no question that ageism exists, but in this election, it matters how old McCain is, because it will directly effect his ability to govern.
